Healthy cuttings

A few weeks ago I received my cuttings. I am originally from Europe and ordered both - European and Canadian varieties. By now they are off to a flying start, healthy buds opened to show foliage and I can see a growth progress every day now. I look forward to planting them in our yard (I started them in pots). Received our S. nigra cuttings

We were very pleased with the high quality of the 3 varieties of S. nigra cuttings....all consistent in size, clean, and a great diameter.

We are in Nova Scotia and have grown, and harvested the wild S. canadensis over the years, making elderberry jellies, drinks and cough syrups. We have also grown Kent, John, Scotia, Nova and a few others. The taller varieties have yielded well for us and are out of reach from the numerous whitetail deer which are persistent in our area.

Anxious to grow the S. nigra varieties this spring to compare growth rates, fruit comparisons, yields, etc.
